As part of Global Security, Apple's Crisis Management team plays a critical role in safeguarding our people, operations, and reputation around the world. Working closely with partners across the business, the team leads crisis preparedness, incident response, resilience planning, and strategic decision-making during significant events. By identifying and managing emerging risks, the team strengthens organizational resilience and helps ensure Apple is prepared to respond effectively to an ever-evolving global threat landscape.
The Crisis Management Intelligence & Technology Manager is responsible for driving the intersection of intelligence operations and technology evolution.
The role focuses on monitoring global risks to Apple’s assets from natural disasters and human-generated threats, delivering intelligence products, threat monitoring, and decision-support capabilities across a complex global environment. This role is NOT related to cyber or network threats or risks. In addition, this position is responsible for directly implementing technology amplifiers and solutions for the entire team. The role will lead high-performing intelligence, technology, and project teams, working closely with regional crisis managers, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure scalable, resilient, and intelligence-led, technology-agile crisis management operations.
Responsibilities- Lead global Crisis Management Intelligence & Services operations globally.
- Oversee regional vendor analyst teams across APAC, AMR, and EMEIA, ensuring consistency in intelligence collection, escalation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage and develop high-performing intelligence, technology, and project teams.
- Lead crisis management technology and innovation programmes, including platform development, analytics, automation, and monitoring capabilities.
- Develop, maintain, and manage strategic relationships with intelligence, technology, and crisis management vendors to enhance global capability, resilience, and response effectiveness.
- Ensure vendor performance, service delivery, and capabilities alignment and strategic objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of crisis detection, intelligence workflows and products, operational procedures, and analytical standards.
- Partner with technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and deliver scalable solutions.
- Oversee production of actionable intelligence, threat monitoring, situational awareness reporting, and crisis intelligence products.
- Ensure intelligence outputs support crisis response, executive decision-making, and operational planning.
- Lead intelligence support during crisis events, including coordination and executive reporting.
- Maintain operating models, playbooks, and escalation frameworks in partnership with regional crisis managers.
- Develop and lead crisis readiness programmes, including training, drills, simulations, tabletop exercises, and after-action reviews.
- Assess operational readiness and drive continuous improvement across crisis preparedness capabilities.
- Provide clear and high-impact executive briefings during both steady-state and crisis scenarios.
- Oversee crisis management technology ecosystems, including automation, analytics, workflow platforms, monitoring tools, and collaboration systems.
- Build strong partnerships across Global Security and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination.
- 15+ years of experience in intelligence, security operations, crisis management, resilience, or related fields.
- 5+ years of proven experience leading intelligence, operational, technology, or project teams in complex global environments.
- Strong understanding of crisis management, intelligence operations, threat monitoring, and operational readiness frameworks.
- Experience delivering intelligence support in crisis or high-tempo operational environments.
