Senior Systems Engineer

Requirements

• This role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
• Proficiency in both Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) environments
• Proven experience in data center design, build‑out, and operations
• Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/AWS Gov Cloud, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (e.g., Net App, Dell EMC, Ceph)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Python)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and integration with infrastructure systems
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Occasional standing and walking within the office
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
• Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
• Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
• Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of our data center infrastructure
• This position is critical to supporting our mission‑critical systems and ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance across both on‑premise and cloud environments
• The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, extensive experience with monitoring and disaster recovery solutions, and a strong foundation in virtualization, cloud services, storage, and preferably high‑performance computing (HPC)
• Lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure components
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems in hybrid environments (on‑prem and cloud)
• Administer and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux systems
• Develop and enforce backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
• Optimize storage and compute infrastructure for high performance and cost‑effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support application needs and integration projects
• Document systems designs, procedures, configurations, and provide knowledge transfer
• Proactively monitor systems performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to incidents with urgency and professionalism
