HP is looking for an experienced Product Manager to refine, build, and continuously evolve our Device Certification and Platform Readiness program. This role owns the end-to-end framework that ensures new hardware devices and peripherals are consistently onboarded into HP manageability and application experiences with predictable quality, readiness, and scale. This is a platform‑oriented product role focused on operationalizing excellence. You will establish clear certification tiers, readiness criteria, and go‑to‑market gates so every device launch meets a consistent baseline for manageability, reliability, and user experience.
Responsibilities- Program & Framework Ownership:
Define and own the Device Certification and Platform Readiness program, including certification tiers, acceptance criteria, and lifecycle expectations for device integration touch points. Establish a standardized readiness framework for all hardware NPIs entering:
Device Manageability, Cloud services, Desktop, mobile, and room application experiences. Continuously evolve the framework as platforms, devices, and customer expectations change. - NPI Integration & Readiness:
Partner with hardware product teams to embed certification requirements early in NPI planning. Ensure new devices meet defined quality bars before broad customer exposure or sales enablement. Identify and manage gaps across firmware, cloud, app, and operational dependencies. Collaborates with stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization. Translates user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team. - Platform & Cross‑Team Alignment:
Work closely with engineering, cloud operations, QA, UX, support, documentation, and GTM teams. Translate platform capabilities and constraints into clear certification rules and launch requirements. Acts as an advocate for the stakeholders during specification and development stages. Align certification criteria with broader platform standards and service‑level expectations. - Operational Excellence:
Define metrics to measure certification maturity, launch readiness, and post‑launch quality. Establish ingest, validation, and exception‑handling processes. Drive continuous improvement using customer feedback, operational data, and incident learnings. - Communication & Enablement:
Clearly document certification levels, expectations, and device status for internal stakeholders. Serve as the single point of accountability for device manageability readiness within the ecosystem. Enable sales, support, and partner teams with clear expectations and launch confidence. - What Success Looks Like:
Hardware NPIs enter the HP Manageability ecosystem through a predictable, repeatable certification process. Launch readiness is clearly understood, measurable, and trusted across teams. Device quality and manageability consistency improves over time. Stakeholders are able to trust and executing launches.
