VP of Conversation Design | Early-Stage AI SaaS

One of our early-stage AI portfolio companies building agentic AI solutions in the voice AI space is looking for a VP of Conversation Design to work closely with clients to design bespoke user and customer flows via conversation.

• Define and evangelize the strategic vision for conversational design excellence across the platform, client engagements, and internal teams
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of conversational designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and user-centricity
• Drive the development of industry-leading conversational design systems, frameworks, and best practices to enable the creation of sophisticated, multi-turn AI agents on the platfor
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to influence the platform roadmap
• Oversee the design quality and user experience of conversational AI solutions built ensuring they are intuitive, effective, and align with human-centered design principles

• Prior experience in conversational AI design, UX design for AI products, or related fields
• Deep expertise in conversational design principles, NLP/NLU capabilities, prompt engineering, AI agent architectures, and user-centered design methodologies
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful conversational AI deployments, design frameworks, and strategic contributions to complex AI-driven products
• You have experience building AI-first products
• Someone who is passionate about the startup ecosystem
