We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Server Technician to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our physical and virtual server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong hardware diagnostic skills, a solid understanding of networking, and experience handling enterprise operating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Management:
    Rack, cable, and de-commission physical servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • System Troubleshooting:
    Diagnose and repair server hardware components (e.g., RAM, hard drives, power supplies, motherboard issues).
  • OS & Software Support:
    Install, configure, and maintain Descriptive Anchor Text operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Utilize infrastructure monitoring tools to track system health, manage alerts, and optimize server performance.
  • Patching & Maintenance:
    Apply system updates, security patches, and routine firmware upgrades.
  • Backup & Recovery:
    Support daily backup routines and disaster recovery processes.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate activity logs, network diagrams, hardware inventory, and incident reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in server maintenance, data center operations, or IT infrastructure support.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform rack-mount installations, and stand or maneuver in tight or loud servidor room environments.
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent written communication for documentation, and strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications:

    Active CompTIA Server+, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
