Service Now Application Development Engineer, Ops Tech Solutions

As a member of the Ops Tech Solutions application development team for Service Now, you will be at the forefront of IT service delivery, collaborating across Ops Tech Solutions infrastructure and services teams. You will be surrounded by passionate people dedicated to optimizing IT services and believe that world‑class service is critical to customer success. You will work across all internal teams to drive tooling and process improvements, ensuring a high‑quality, fast‑resolving customer experience.
Your mission is to develop a world‑class customer experience and set new customer service standards in IT Delivery.
- Perform technical administration and maintenance of Service Now IT Business Management.
- Identify platform‑level optimization opportunities to improve user experience, such as page load latency reduction.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to build enhancements and integrations that scale.
- Create Service Now workflows and business rules to drive service improvements.
- Interface with Service Now for all operational requests, issues, and planning.
- Lead Service Now release upgrades, including technical and stakeholder management activities.
- Coordinate system updates, patches, and configuration changes with Software Development Engineers.
- Provide user training related to Service Now processes, policies, and procedures.
- Mentor team members on project planning, design, and estimating activities in Service Now IT Business Management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Certified Service Now Administrator (CSA) or other Service Now certification.
- 3+ years of direct experience with the Service Now platform as an administrator, developer, and/or comparable role.
- 5+ years of direct experience working with customers to understand requirements and implement IT solutions/initiatives.
- Experience with Service Now platform maintenance and optimization activities, including release management and page load latency improvement.
- 6+ years of experience in multiple technology areas such as application administration, configuration, and/or data services.
- 6+ years of experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban methodology.
- Experience with JavaScript, Perl, or PHP.
- Experience with web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc.
- ITIL Foundation certification or related experience.
