IT Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
Job Description
The Business/Data Analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs, ensuring solutions align with overall business strategies. The role involves business process reengineering, identifying technology improvements, and preparing solution options with risk and financial analysis (cost/benefit, ROI, buy vs. build). The analyst documents user requirements, system functions, and steps needed for system development or modification, exercising strong independent judgment, creativity, and the ability to manage complex tasks.
The analyst also acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Support), with strong experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, and general project coordination. PMP experience is a plus.
Qualifications8+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
- 8+ years of strong understanding of business analysis areas of knowledge, activities, and tasks.
- 8+ years of experience participating in software development reviews and providing guidance on analysis, design, and testing.
- 8+ years of experience performing or supporting unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- 8+ years of strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments accurately.
- 8+ years of thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- 8+ years of excellent written and verbal communication skills with IT and business stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of experience acting as a liaison between business teams and IT teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Support, etc.).
- Strong experience as a Data Analyst (analyzing raw data).
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst (requirements gathering, understanding technology).
- Any project management experience; PMP is a plus.
Total experience: 14+ years.
Location & Work ArrangementHybrid – On Site and Telework. Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite at the Austin, TX location. The program allows local to Texas candidates only; preferred candidates are local to the Austin area (within 50 miles radius). Candidates must already reside in Texas.
