Job Overview
DPR Construction is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as the lead Data Analyst in our Get Work Integrated Workgroup. The role involves partnering with cross‑functional teams—including Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Content Operations, Brand & Design, and Internal & External Communications—to build relationships, identify pain points, create and drive data strategy, and deliver actionable insights that drive business‑forward decisions.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership / Roadmap / Execution / Delivery• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with business stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their people, processes, tools, and goals.
• Drive strategic conversations to capture pain points and business requirements, define key insights and metrics to improve processes, and develop appropriate business‑intelligence datasets and analytics.
• Create, maintain, and execute a data‑analytics roadmap for stakeholder groups that aligns with overall goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with the Integrated Workgroup and functional teams to align Data Analytics efforts and resources with business goals.
• Identify opportunities for process and technical optimization and collaborate with stakeholders for implementation.
• Translate business problems into technical requirements and communicate solutions in business terms.
• Lead the next level of data analysis and insight capability by working with data infrastructure to ensure accessibility.
• Design and recommend new reporting and actionable insights to improve processes and inform strategic conversations.
• Create complex data models in visualization tools and perform necessary transformations.
• Query the Data Warehouse with SQL to analyze datasets and clean data as required.
• Identify potential new datasets and integrations for the Data Warehouse.
• Work with Technical Data Analysts to build views in dbt and Snowflake.
• Build and maintain dashboards and apps; perform ad‑hoc analyses.
• Identify root causes of data integrity issues and conduct impact analysis when data source changes occur.
• Follow, implement, and enhance data security and governance guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for data collaboration and integration between disciplines.
• Coordinate alignment with other Technology & Innovation groups.
• Identify AI/ML/Data Science initiatives and partner with those teams on project delivery.
• Train end users on using and interpreting dashboards and reports.
• Improve data literacy across DPR.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Get Work business regarding data availability, quality, processes, and technology for all functions.
• Maintain understanding of the data pipeline architecture to articulate its benefits and limitations to end users.
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline with five (5) years of experience applying data to solve problems, or Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) years of experience.
- Construction experience—including industry trends, terminology, and typical processes—is strongly preferred.
- Construction Sales, Business Development, and Marketing experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with and first‑hand knowledge of CRM tools is strongly preferred.
- Passion for using data and business‑intelligence principles to optimize business outcomes.
- Proven track record of translating business pain points into data requirements and solving complex problems.
- Proven analytic skills, including data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
- Ability to create data models and understand dependencies between source systems.
- Experience with Power BI (creating and maintaining dataflows) is required.
- Experience consuming client‑side APIs (REST and GraphQL) is required.
- Experience with SQL scripting is required.
- Advanced business acumen and working knowledge of typical company operations.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, written, verbal, visual, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with internal and external clients and customers.
- Drive to complete tasks, including taking on varied responsibilities and adapting to changing environments.
