Purpose

This position requires advanced expertise in the Airtable platform to design, build, and maintain sophisticated database systems that support program evaluation activities for a federally funded child welfare initiative. The role goes beyond standard database use and focuses on developing new bases, building automations, creating and maintaining custom bases and interfaces that enhance programmatic, research, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of custom Airtable bases and relational data systems to support complex program evaluation and longitudinal data tracking needs. Build, implement, and maintain advanced Airtable automations and workflows to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting functions.
  • Develop and manage user-facing interfaces that improve accessibility, usability, and real‑time application of data across program and evaluation teams. Apply advanced Airtable functionality to create and update automations and interfaces to support dynamic data operations and system functionality.
  • Assess and optimize database architecture to ensure efficiency, scalability, data integrity, and security. Coordinate with evaluation team members and program staff to translate complex data needs into functional, intuitive database solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members through excellent communication in order to support skill development in Airtable while establishing best practices for data management and system use.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance and expand system capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Experience in database administration. Demonstrated advanced expertise with Airtable, including the development of complex, multi‑table relational databases, custom workflows, automations, interfaces, formulas, and scripting solutions. Experience designing and managing data systems that support program evaluation, research, or multi‑site initiatives. Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement end‑to‑end data solutions while continuously refining database functionality and performance. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to independently architect and optimize database systems.

Excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with federally funded projects, particularly in child welfare, human services, or related fields. Familiarity with project and workflow management platforms such as  Experience supporting data‑driven decision making through the development and maintenance of reporting systems, dashboards, and real‑time data monitoring tools.

Salary Range

$72,500 (Prorated: $36,250 @ 20 hours/week)

Work Shift

Monday‑Friday, Flexible between 8am‑6pm
