Position Overview

SharePoint Systems Administrator III at Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC). The role provides operational support for Microsoft SharePoint, including site creation, user permissions, content migrations, and automation support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support of Microsoft SharePoint, managing user access, site collections, and permissions.
  • Conduct content migrations and develop new site features.
  • Perform Tier II/III support, troubleshoot system errors, and train users.
  • Escalate issues, respond to incidents, and close tickets in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the SharePoint Operations Lead to improve solutions and implement changes.
  • Create and maintain support documentation.
  • Assist with deployment of new SharePoint sites, features, upgrades, and third‑party solutions.
  • Participate in Agile and Scrum activities.
  • Provide emergency support as needed, including after‑hour support.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 4 years SharePoint administration experience.
  • Proficient in SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Platform canvas apps, Power Automate flows, and Power Shell scripting.
  • Experience with security standards, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and managing security groups.
  • Experience migrating data from traditional file shares and within SharePoint sites.
  • Strong analytical thinking, ability to diagnose and solve user issues, and explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of Microsoft 365 features.
  • Ability to document processes and provide guidance to end users.
Preferred Certifications
  • Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Teamwork Administrator Associate
