This is a player‑coach role. The right candidate is a hands‑on generalist who can operate independently across IT infrastructure, security, end‑user support, and integrations — while also building structure and eventually leading a small team. They will hire and manage a Support Technician (Help Desk) as their first direct report, but they should expect to be in the trenches themselves for the foreseeable future.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full transition from our current MSP to an in‑house IT function, including knowledge transfer, credential and access migration, and system validation
- Assume direct ownership of all vendor relationships, MDR/EDR, M365 tenant administration, and Sophos firewall management
- Own the day‑to‑day management and health of the IT environment: M365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Entra ), endpoint management (Intune or equivalent), firewall and network infrastructure across all locations, and backup/disaster recovery
