This position supports analysis across multiple initiatives and leads special projects assigned by agency leadership. Responsibilities include developing data analysis tools, defining data requirements, preparing recommendations for project leadership, and supporting various projects to ensure their success. The role requires independent judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with teams across the agency.

• Develop data analysis tools and models.
• Define data requirements and prepare recommendations.
• Create and present reports highlighting technology and operational gaps.
• Transform data into actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Analyze data policies and procedures and their impact on systems.
• Acquire data from multiple sources, perform deep analysis, and create clear reports.

• 14+ years total experience (including at least 8 years relevant experience).
• Experience with state or federal client projects.
• Strong research, data analysis, and report preparation skills.
• Experience developing as‑is/to‑be data models and data mapping.
• Knowledge of metadata, tables, and user interfaces for reporting.
• Proficiency with data reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization.
• Preferred: 5 years creating advanced data reports and dashboards; 5 years preparing SDLC-related materials; 1 year in state or federal public sector environment.
• Must be a resident of Texas, within a 50‑mile radius of Austin.
• Must hold valid legal status for employment (no OPT, no fake GC).
