Senior System Administrator – Information Workplace Services
Location:
McKinney, TX. The role is full‑time, 100% onsite, with 24/7 operational responsibilities and occasional after‑hours work. Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic sites is required.
Security clearance:
Active U.S. Government–issued Secret clearance is required upon hire. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
- Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red‑Hat Enterprise Linux environment, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication.
- Configure and maintain software applications requested by end users.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve medium to high‑scope technical problems, including integration of hardware and operating systems.
- Manage data RAID, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Support 24/7 operations and occasionally work beyond standard hours.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must have Linux or Windows administration experience.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, backup and recovery.
- Must have a transferable U.S. government–issued Secret clearance before start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
- DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification and an operating system certification.
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, or DoD/RMF.
- Knowledge of data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
- Experience with IT project lifecycle management.
- Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESX, and other virtual computing methods.
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, or Exchange.
- Script writing experience.
- Competitive salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
