Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of Web Sphere MQ.
- Ensure maximum system availability and uptime for Web Sphere environments.
- Analyze application dependencies and provide optimal solutions for projects and engagements.
- Install, implement, upgrade, secure, patch, and monitor Dell’s Global Web Sphere MQ.
- Complete other tasks as defined by the Manager of Middleware Web Sphere Systems.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent with 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3–4 years of experience as an MQ Engineer.
- Experience installing, patching, upgrading, administering, scripting, and maintaining a Web Sphere Application Server Network Deployment clustered environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly explain technical issues in English to audiences with varied technical backgrounds.
- 24/7/365 on‑call availability.
- IBM Certified System Administrator Web Sphere MQ Series (desirable).
