Cirrascale Cloud Services provides high-performance cloud infrastructure purpose-built for deep learning, generative AI, and large-scale AI inference workloads. We specialize in dedicated GPU cloud solutions tailored to the unique needs of startups, research labs, and enterprise AI teams. Our mission is to accelerate AI innovation by combining powerful hardware with white-glove service and flexible, custom-built environments.
Position SummaryCirrascale Cloud Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deployment Technician to join our Engineering Department’s team of Deployment Technicians. In this hands‑on role, you will work independently under general direction to rack, cable, configure, and deploy high-performance servers; specifically cutting‑edge GPU clusters and bare‑metal AI infrastructure. If you thrive in autonomy, enjoy working with the latest data center hardware, have a strong foundation in Linux and networking, and take pride in seeing a system through from unboxing to live production, this is the role for you!
Expect to travel 30‑40% of the time to support deployments across our growing footprint of data centers.
Physically unbox, rack, stack, and secure high‑performance computing servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment in the data center.
Cabling & Cable Management:
Route, connect, and organize complex high‑density cabling topologies, including Cat6/fiber Ethernet and Infini Band/RoCE networks, adhering to strict data center cable management standards.
System Configuration & Provisioning:
Perform initial hardware configurations including BIOS/BMC firmware updates, RAID setup, and IPMI configuration to prepare nodes for network booting and OS deployment.
OS & Software Deployment:
Utilize internal tools and automation to deploy base operating systems (primarily Linux), install necessary drivers (especially NVIDIA GPU drivers/CUDA toolkits), and validate system readiness.
Diagnostics & Burn‑In Testing:
Execute rigorous hardware stress tests and burn‑in procedures on CPUs, memory, and GPUs to identify DoA (Dead on Arrival) components and ensure full system stability before handing off to production.
Inventory & Asset Management:
Accurately track hardware assets, serial numbers, and MAC addresses; manage RMA processes for faulty components with vendors.
Documentation:
Maintain and update internal wikis, deployment runbooks, and hardware topology diagrams to ensure accurate records of data center infrastructure.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Data Center Operations to troubleshoot deployment roadblocks and ensure seamless integration of new hardware into the Cirrascale cloud fabric.
