Do you have a knack for helping groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, and the consultative and leadership skills to launch a project on a trajectory to success?

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. In this role you will lead technical engagements, define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and act as a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services.

• Execute a strategic technical account plan for platform adoption.
• Direct customer interaction to technically qualify and validate sales opportunities.
• Provide thought‑leadership engagements to evangelize the AWS platform.
• Cure and document best practices to accelerate deployments of AWS solutions.
• Conduct technical enablement for customers and partners (e.g., Immersion Days).
• Capture customer feedback and demand to inform evolving the AWS platform.

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications or infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.

Ability to travel 25‑30% of the time.

Base salary ranges vary by location. For example:
San Francisco, CA: 151,000 – 204,300 USD annually.
Santa Monica, CA: 131,300 – 177,600 USD annually.
Austin, TX: 131,300 – 177,600 USD annually.
Dallas, TX: 131,300 – 177,600 USD annually.
Seattle, WA: 131,300 – 177,600 USD annually.
