Service Now Application Development Engineer, Ops Tech Solutions, Ops Tech Solutions Delivery

As a member of the Ops Tech Solutions application development team for Service Now, you will be at the forefront of IT service delivery, collaborating across Ops Tech Solutions infrastructure and services teams, focusing on ITSM, HAM modules and system integrations. You will work across all internal teams to drive tooling and process improvements to ensure a high quality, fast resolution customer experience.

Your mission is to develop a world‑class customer experience and set new customer service standards in IT Delivery. Ops Tech Solutions is looking for experienced, dedicated team members to manage the administration, maintenance, and development of the Service Now platform for the organization. The ideal candidate is innovative, has great problem‑solving skills, and is comfortable working on core application administration, creating workflows, data management, scripting and process automation.

You will work with both technical and non‑technical teams to translate business cases into scalable solutions, clearly communicating to larger non‑technical audiences about system changes and enhancements. The role operates in a hyper‑growth environment where priorities shift quickly. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.

• Perform technical administration and maintenance of Service Now IT Business Management.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to build enhancements and integrations that scale.
• Create Service Now workflows and business rules for service improvements.
• Interface with Service Now for all operational requests, issues and planning.
• Lead Service Now release upgrades including technical and stakeholder management activities.
• Work closely with Software Development Engineers to coordinate system updates, patches and configuration changes.
• Provide user training related to Service Now processes, policies and procedures.
• Mentor team members on project planning, design and estimating activities in Service Now IT Business Management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
• Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
• Certified Service Now Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD) or another relevant Service Now certification is required.
• 3+ years of direct experience with the Service Now platform as an administrator, developer or comparable role.
• 5+ years of experience working with customers to understand requirements and implement IT solutions or initiatives.

• Knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with a good understanding of HR business processes.
• Experience implementing at least two full lifecycle SFDC implementations successfully.
• Experience in a test‑driven and formal QA development environment, including deployment cycles across development, staging and production.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to communicate with all levels in the organization.
• 6+ years of experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON or other relevant web services.
• Experience and certification on ITSM and HAM modules.
• Experience with Service Now platform maintenance and optimization, including release management and page load time latency improvement.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• ITIL Foundation certification or related experience is preferred.

USA, TX, Austin – Base salary: $ – $ annually. Your package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and location.
