Summary
We are seeking a experienced Business Development Manager to join our AI Partnerships Team at Meta, with a focus on Data acquisition partnerships. You will play a crucial role in driving partnerships to support our advanced AI products. You will be responsible for sourcing and securing datasets from around the world to train our next generation of frontier models. You will bridge the gap between technical research needs and external partners and drive data acquisition partnerships from term sheet negotiations through deal closure.
We are looking for a leader who has an working knowledge of AI and data partnerships, enjoys working with product & research teams and has experience navigating complex cross-functional teams to achieve your goals.
Required SkillsDefining, negotiating, and closing high-impact data licensing partnershipsWork closely with product, research, and engineering teams to understand technical data requirements, define priorities and identify key opportunitiesLeverage and expand contacts in the global data space to unlock partnership opportunitiesConduct market research and analysis to understand the data landscape, identifying emerging trends and partnership opportunities in the AI ecosystemWorking cross-functionally with legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trendsProviding regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performanceMinimum Qualifications7+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or related fieldsExperience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience in interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreementsExperience in developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with executive stakeholdersExperience in working closely with product and engineering teamsExperience in developing working relationships both inside and outside an immediate team or partner organizationPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in AI products and technologies such as AI models, use cases, and systemsExperience in content and data licensing dealsExperience collaborating with product teams and external partners on AI initiativesExperience in managing and driving AI initiatives from inception to launch successfully with partnersDemonstrated presentation and communication skillsExperience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insightsKnowledge of the AI ecosystem and competitive landscape, including the technology, what other companies are doing, industry alliances, and broader government and regulatory positionsDemonstrated track record of navigating cross-functional teams to achieve their goalsPublic Compensation$162,000/year to $227,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
