About the Opportunity

Our client, a large enterprise financial services company, is seeking a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join their growing digital experience team. This role is ideal for a creative, user-focused professional who is passionate about designing intuitive and engaging digital experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business outcomes.

Working within a collaborative, agile environment, you will partner with product managers, researchers, developers, and business stakeholders to create seamless experiences across web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

+ Design intuitive, user-centered experiences for web and mobile applications.

+ Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

+ Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.

+ Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams throughout the design lifecycle.

+ Translate complex business and technical requirements into simple, elegant user experiences.

+ Advocate for UX best practices and contribute to a consistent design system.

+ Analyze user feedback, behavior, and data to continuously improve digital products.

+ Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications:

- 6-10 years of UX design experience focused on digital products or equivalent

- 1+ year of UX experience for touch-based mobile interfaces

- An online portfolio showcasing design thinking leading to innovative solutions

- Experience with most aspects of a user-centered design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, and building interactive prototypes for testing

- Proficient in design tools like Figma

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience using AI‑powered tools or workflows (professionally or independently) to support design, research, or problem‑solving, with an interest in applying emerging technologies thoughtfully in client experiences

- Strong self-management skills and comfort owning work independently

- Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to diverse audiences

- Some technical knowledge or experience collaborating closely with engineers is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $71.00/hr.
