Neos is seeking a Microsoft 365 System Analyst for a 12 month contract with our client in Austin, TX.

Only local candidates need apply, the position requires 4-5 days onsite per week in Austin (78744) AND in person interviews

The Microsoft 365 System Analyst will provide technical assistance for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, One Drive, Purview, Viva, Loop, and related technologies. Responsibilities focus on user support, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues, managing security and compliance through Entra  (Azure AD), and ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring, documentation, Service Now (ITIL) processes, and participation in an on-call rotation as needed.

User Support

• Provide issue resolution and support for all Microsoft 365 services.
• Troubleshoot system issues utilizing Microsoft Office 365 tools.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by the Service Desk.

Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze usage, performance, and audit reports to identify trends and potential issues.
• Act as a liaison between end users and higher-tier support teams, ensuring clear communication and prompt issue resolution.
• Utilize Active Directory, Entra , Power Shell, and related technologies.

M365 Tenant Administration

• Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 security policies and compliance requirements.
• Create and maintain documentation related to Microsoft 365 services, policies, procedures, and system configurations.
• Participate in planning and implementation of IT projects related to Microsoft 365 services.

Collaboration

• Work with business units to gather requirements and implement solutions that improve productivity.
• Administer Microsoft 365 service offerings, ensuring email, collaboration tools, and productivity software function effectively.

Process Improvement

• Develop automation solutions using Power Shell and other scripting tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• 7 years experience administering Microsoft 365 environments in a large organization.
• 7 years experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams, and One Drive.
• 7 years experience implementing governance and compliance policies in a public sector or regulated environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Viva.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to create technical documentation and deliver user training.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional IT teams.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) tools such as Snow, Flexera, or Service Now.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing models.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit processes.
