SOC Analysts serve as the first line of defence against cyber threats by continuously monitoring security events, analysing logs, investigating suspicious activity, and responding to incidents. They use SIEM platforms, endpoint detection tools, and threat intelligence feeds to identify security risks before they impact business operations.

Daily responsibilities include analysing alerts, performing malware investigations, documenting incidents, collaborating with security engineers, and recommending improvements to strengthen organisational security. The role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
