Job Description

With locations all over the world, we’re a fast-paced, growing Services Company with tons of upside. We keep growing... and growing... and growing; hence, the need for someone like you. We’re currently looking to hire a Platform Engineer to support our IPcenter toolset!

In A Typical Day You Will:
  • Install and configure Linux hosts (generally, but not limited to, Scientific Linux)
  • Architect, deploys and manages virtualization solutions through VMware, Xen, Amazon VC2 and other virtualization technologies
  • Develops capacity/datacenter plans using storage/ backup tools such as Net Backup, Net App and EMC
  • Works on Cloud solutions
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues in the platform
  • Troubleshoot performance issues within the application, web and database tiers
  • Resolve escalations received through ticketing system, emails, and/or phone calls in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills
  • 3+ years of experience working with a NOC environment.
  • Very strong Linux/Unix administration & troubleshooting skills
  • TCP/IP and basic networking
  • Configuring Apache and Tomcat servers
  • Create and debug MySQL queries
  • Understanding of DNS and how to configure/ troubleshoot it
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
