We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize our virtualized and physical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Hyper‑V, Windows Server and Linux operating systems, and enterprise storage solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of our compute and storage platforms that support critical business applications.

This role will be based out of our Austin, TX office and subject to our return‑to‑office policy, which currently requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Hyper‑V virtualization environments (standalone and clustered), including virtual machines, virtual networks, live migration, and high‑availability configurations.
  • Administer and support Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) and major Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS/Rocky, etc.), including patching, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, or hyper‑converged), including provisioning, capacity planning, performance monitoring, replication, snapshots, and data protection.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for virtualized and physical workloads.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance using tools such as System Center, Windows Admin Center, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Automate routine infrastructure tasks using Power Shell, Bash, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation tools.
  • Collaborate with application, security, and networking teams to support deployments, migrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to critical incidents affecting virtualization, OS, or storage platforms.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and architecture; contribute to infrastructure standards and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud and evaluate them for potential adoption.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience working in Operational Technology
  • Experience with NERC CIP and other regulatory frameworks.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Hyper‑V (including Failover Clustering, SCVMM experience a plus).
  • Solid administration experience with Windows Server and at least one major Linux distribution in production environments.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise storage solutions (Dell EMC, Dell Unity, Net App, Pure Storage, HPE, or equivalent), including SAN/NAS concepts, multipathing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with virtualization networking (vSwitch, SR‑IOV, VLANs) and storage connectivity (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SMB/NFS).
  • Proficiency in Power Shell and/or Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks.
  • Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies in virtualized environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and OS layers.

Compensation & Benefits

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package for this position includes eligibility to participate in our bonus and equity programs.
