Sailpoint Engineer
We are looking for an experienced SailPoint Engineer to join our client's team here in Austin, Tx. This contract position will focus on strengthening identity governance and access management through SailPoint Identity Security Cloud across a complex enterprise landscape. The role is expected to run for 3 months at approximately 15-20 hours per week, with an emphasis on scalable design, security alignment, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the architecture, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud to improve identity governance and access control across enterprise systems.
• Bring new applications into the identity platform by defining integrations, mapping data structures, and aligning access processes with business and security needs.
• Build and maintain core identity components such as source schemas, identity profiles, account matching logic, and provisioning workflows to support accurate lifecycle management.
• Develop and refine automated joiner, mover, and leaver processes to strengthen access consistency, reduce manual effort, and improve compliance outcomes.
• Establish and strengthen role-based access models, access review campaigns, and segregation of duties controls to support governance and audit readiness.
• Connect SailPoint with HR platforms, directories, cloud services, SaaS tools, and on-premises applications to create a cohesive identity ecosystem.
• Improve platform effectiveness by increasing feature adoption, elevating identity data quality, and reducing orphaned or unmatched accounts.
• Expand reporting, analytics, and governance practices that help stakeholders monitor risk, measure control effectiveness, and support operational efficiency.
• Partner with business, security, application, and infrastructure teams to define strategy, onboard new systems, and maintain a sustainable identity architecture.
