Einride is seeking a hands-on, in-office IT Engineer based in Austin, TX to support US sites and engineering hardware. You will provide systems administration for Linux devices, tier 2–3 user support for macOS and Windows, maintain the onsite Meraki network and VPN, build integrations and automations between tools, and document IT processes.

• Provide setup, troubleshooting, systems administration, and support for engineers’ Linux laptops and some Linux servers
• Provide Tier 2–3 assistance and escalation for macOS and Windows user support
• Evaluate new application requests and suggest existing tool alternatives
• Assist staff in using AI tools (Claude, Gemini), including help with “vibe coding” / prompt engineering
• Write custom integrations and automations between tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and device management systems
• Troubleshoot and support onsite Meraki network and Linux-based VPN
• Partner with Sweden-based IT team across time zones; elevate and document incidents and fixes
• Write user-facing and internal IT documentation

• Solid Linux systems administration experience (command line, package management, SSH, permissions, log analysis, basic scripting)
• Comfortable providing end-user support across macOS and Windows
• Basic coding experience or eagerness to build on it (Python or Go mentioned)
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi-Fi) and hands-on experience with Meraki or comparable managed gear
• Ability to move between deep technical work and routine hardware setup; strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and often be the sole IT expert on site
• Must work out of the Austin office, be able to travel up to 15% within the US, maintain a valid driver’s license, and lift/move hardware as needed

• Experience with Terraform or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
