18+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with strong exposure to Public Sector / Government clients and demonstrated sales, pre-sales, and business development expertise.
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise across multiple cybersecurity towers and proven experience working with Public Sector / Government organizations. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical cybersecurity knowledge with strong consulting, pre-sales, solutioning, and sales capabilities. The role will involve engaging with customers, understanding business and security challenges, developing end-to-end cybersecurity solutions, supporting bids/RFPs, and working closely with sales and delivery teams to drive cybersecurity business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a Cybersecurity SME and trusted advisor for Public Sector and Government customers.
- Engage with CIOs, CISOs, IT/security leadership, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders to understand their cybersecurity requirements.
- Provide end-to-end cybersecurity solution consulting and pre-sales support.
- Identify cybersecurity opportunities and contribute to pipeline development, account growth, and revenue generation.
- Lead or support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, tenders, proposals, solution presentations, and technical demonstrations.
- Translate customer requirements into comprehensive cybersecurity architectures and solution proposals.
- Work closely with Sales, Presales, Delivery, Partners, and OEM teams to develop winning propositions.
- Conduct customer workshops, security assessments, capability presentations, and solution discussions.
- Support account planning and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling cybersecurity services.
- Develop technical and commercial value propositions aligned with customer business objectives.
- Participate in customer negotiations and support sales teams through the complete opportunity lifecycle.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats, regulations, technologies, and government cybersecurity initiatives.
Strong cross-functional exposure across multiple cybersecurity domains, including preferably:
- Security Operations / SOC / SIEM / SOAR
- Managed Detection & Response (MDR) / XDR
- Network Security / Next-Generation Firewalls / IDS/IPS
- Endpoint Security / EDR / XDR
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) / PAM / MFA
- Cloud Security / CSPM / CWPP / CNAPP
- Application Security / Dev Sec Ops
- Data Security / DLP
- Email & Web Security
- Vulnerability Management / Penetration Testing
- Zero Trust Security
- Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Digital Forensics & Incident Response
- Threat Intelligence
- OT/ICS Security – desirable
- Security Architecture and Cyber Transformation
The candidate should be able to connect these individual capabilities into integrated, end-to-end cybersecurity solutions rather than having expertise limited to a single cybersecurity tower.
Sales & Pre-Sales Expertise- Proven track record in cybersecurity sales, pre-sales, consulting, or solution selling.
- Experience supporting the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through proposal, presentation, negotiation, and closure.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity services and solutions and their commercial positioning.
- Experience working with OEMs, technology partners, system integrators, and managed security service providers.
- Ability to create compelling technical proposals, presentations, solution architectures, BOMs/BOQs, and statements of work.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
- Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity architecture and security transformation.
- Broad knowledge across multiple Cybersecurity towers.
- Excellent customer-facing and consulting skills.
- Strong business-development and sales orientation.
- Ability to understand complex RFP requirements and develop appropriate solution strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, CCSP, or relevant cloud/security certifications would be an advantage.
