Systems Engineer, IT Infrastructure
Our client, a leading organization in data center and technology infrastructure, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Data Center Platform Engineering Group supporting complex systems and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: North Austin Facility, 14219 Tandem Blvd, Austin, TX 78728
Pay Range:$55-$60/hr. on W2
What's the Job?
- Manage and respond to technical tickets related to hardware and software issues in the data center environment.
- Debug platforms and systems, including GPUs, CPUs, and related hardware components.
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and partners to resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Monitor data center operations for power outages, network disruptions, and cooling leaks, ensuring continuous uptime.
- Install, replace, and troubleshoot hardware components physically and through firmware/OS debugging.
What's Needed?
- Experience working in a data center environment with complex systems involving CPUs and GPUs.
- Proficiency with JIRA, scripting, and debugging methodologies (BMC, BIOS, GPU).
- Strong Linux skills, including running automated scripts and log review.
- Ability to physically install and replace hardware components, including the use of lab equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
