Responsibility as a Senior Systems Administrator
Reports to VP Enterprise IT, the Senior Systems Administrator, on top of the high caliber experience and skill that is required for this position, the correct candidate will be patient, humble and very excited about supporting a very motivated and enthusiastic user base. Our customers are our team members and our team members expect the same level of support that Red Book Connect customers expect which is top notch, unparalleled service!
You are:
First and foremost, you have great attitude and have a great need to enjoy what you do! You have exceptional customer support and communication skills with a desire and aptitude to learn emerging technologies. You have about 5-6 years’ experience in Microsoft infrastructure/network architecture and deployment and are also an experienced Linux administrator. You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues with the ability to make decisions and manage your time effectively to a delivery plan and schedule.
You have the ability to work independently, but also be part of a team. We’re big on Team!
Desired
Skills and Experience:
- 5-6 years Microsoft infrastructure/network architecture and deployment experience that includes:
- Exchange and Active Directory administration and server deployment.
- DNS configuration.
- Power Shell Scripting.
- Group policy object (GPO).
- Network, firewall configuration and router troubleshooting.
- Other Cloud services/migration experience (if you don't have O365 experience)
- Microsoft Lync and SharePoint experience.
Qualifications:
- Only Austin based candidates will be considered.
- Microsoft and ITIL certifications preferred.
- Proficient with enterprise desktop operating systems, applications, and troubleshooting hardware and systems.
- Experience with advanced troubleshooting of complex technology related issues, experience with Service Now preferred.
- Make formal or informal presentations, manage, document and communicate standards
- Moderate international travel, for meetings, seminars, training, corporate headquarters, or other locations. (20%–30%)
