** Qualifications*
* What you need to do the job:
+ Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning methodologies and applications.
+ Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, with experience applying them through coursework, projects, research, or prior experience.
+ Working knowledge of Python and exposure to machine learning or generative AI libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar tools.
+ Experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization using tools such as Pandas, Num Py, and Matplotlib to prepare data sets for model training.
+ Exposure to model evaluation, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, large language models, or responsible AI practices through coursework, projects, research, or prior experience is preferred.
+ Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights through machine learning applications.
+ Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and findings to nontechnical audiences and foster collaboration across teams.
+ A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and staying current on machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
+ A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
** Additional Information*
* ** Locations:
** The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee's choice), and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule.
** Program
Schedule:
** You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning May 24th, 2027. Working days are Monday - Friday.
** Compensation:
** The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $25.00 to $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and location.
** Work Authorization / Visa Sponsorship:
** One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship including, but not limited to, H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM.
** Pre-Employment Requirements:
** Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program's start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.
