Exaba is building the data storage layer for the next generation of computing; a foundation that keeps a company's proprietary data under its own control, at a cost it can forecast, and in a shape that makes it AI-ready.
Our flagship product,
Local Scaler
, is customer‑owned storage that sits right next to your compute. It replaces the hyperscalers for backup, archive and disaster recovery: no egress charges, no surprise bills, no renting your own data. It's S3‑compatible, so Veeam, Commvault, Acronis…etc connect without refactoring. Immutable by default, jurisdiction‑specific by design.
Three things are happening at once, and together they are why this company exists.
- Data is compounding. Global data volumes more than double between 2025 and 2028, driven substantially by AI. Every model trained and every agent deployed adds to the pile, and none of it deletes itself.
- The hyperscalers are no longer fit for purpose — on cost, and on exposure. On cost: we’re up to 10x cheaper than the hyperscaler alternatives. On exposure: the moment your product designs, financial models and customer data move into a hyperscaler to be processed, you've handed your most valuable asset — increasingly including your model weights — to a supplier that also serves your competitors.
You shouldn't have to rent your own intelligence. - Proximity and jurisdiction now beat scale. AI happens where the data is. Storage next to the compute is faster, cheaper to move through, and provably inside the legal boundary you promised your own customers. Governments have made the same call, from Canada's AI strategy to the EU's Cloud and AI Development Act to HIPAA, CMMC and CCPA here. McKinsey puts sovereign AI alone at up to US $600 billion by 2030
.
And the infrastructure to serve it barely exists.
90% of MSPs store their clients' data on infrastructure they don't own. Only 7.8% operate their own storage. That gap is the market.
Local Scaler is the layer that closes it: cheap, immutable, jurisdiction‑specific storage that a partner owns and controls, sitting next to the compute where AI actually happens. Get that layer right and you're not selling backup — you're selling the ground floor of every AI workload a company will run for the next ten years. That's the conversation you'll be opening every day.
We're early‑stage, well‑funded and global from day one; live customers, an OEM alliance, distribution in motion, and a US market that carries the majority of our plan.
