Job Description
The Director of the Health and Human Services (HHS) Information Technology (IT) Identity and Access Management (IAM) Division is selected by and accountable to the Director of the HHS IT System Services Division. This position performs advanced, senior-level managerial work directing enterprise identity, authentication, access management, provisioning, governance, and identity security services for the Texas Health and Human Services enterprise.
The Director establishes strategic objectives, policies, standards, procedures, security controls, and technology roadmaps for identity lifecycle management supporting approximately 50,000 employees, contractors, vendors, and business partners. The position ensures IAM services comply with state and federal requirements, cybersecurity standards, audit expectations, and agency policies.
The Position Provides Leadership For IAM Modernization, Identity Governance, Authentication Services, Privileged Access Controls, Automated Provisioning, And Enterprise Identity Security. Key Services Include But Is Not Limited To
- Enterprise IAM, identity lifecycle management, and access governance
- Provisioning, deprovisioning, access certification, and role-based access control
- Single Sign-On, MFA, passkey, and enterprise authentication services
- Privileged Access Management, service account governance, and identity risk management
- SailPoint identity security platforms, application access integration, and Identity Governance
