Role
- Lead GCP Engineer
Location
- Austin TX (4 days work from office)
Minimum 15+ Years of experience is mandatory
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy- Successfully execute the long-term GCP infrastructure and Dev Ops strategy aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with business, engineering, product, and security leaders to drive platform adoption
- Establish a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Mentor and build high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, Agile, and Dev Ops.
- Cloud Infrastructure (GCP)
- Oversee scalable, secure, and highly available systems on GCP
- Management of Google Resources (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Cloud Storage, VertexAI, Big Query, GCS etc. )
- Implement and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Drive multi-region and disaster recovery strategies
- Partner with security, governance, and networking teams for infrastructure setup & maintenance
- Drive cloud cost governance and optimization strategies
- Implement monitoring, budgeting, and rightsizing practices
- Improve cost visibility and accountability across teams
Skills:
- Technical leadership and strategic thinking
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Automation-first mindset
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
- Strong experience with Terraform
- Familiarity with data/analytics platforms (Big Query, Pub/Sub, Dataflow etc.)
- Experience in faster, more efficient software delivery through mature Dev Ops practices
- GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect)
