Experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager

We are hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a high-performing team with decades of experience, a dedicated department trainer, and full coverage support for PTO days.

In this role, you will steward a complex multi-line book of business and serve as the primary advocate for a portfolio of 200+ commercial accounts . You will partner with multiple producers, a collaborative service team, and national carrier relationships to deliver the responsive, expert-level client experience Watkins is known for.

This is not an entry-level role. It is built for a seasoned commercial lines professional who is ready to own a meaningful book, lead renewals, and make an impact from day one.

• Own the relationship. Serve as the primary point of contact for your commercial accounts, building trusted partnerships that drive retention.
• Advise with authority. Identify coverage gaps and exposures, recommend solutions, and guide clients through complex risk decisions with confidence.
• Drive renewals. Lead the remarketing process, negotiate terms with carriers, and deliver renewal strategies a minimum of 60 days ahead of expiration.
• Manage complexity. Take the lead on complex accounts for a newer, growing producer while handling routine renewals independently for a senior partner.
• Collaborate to win. Work alongside producers and underwriters to retain existing business and support new account acquisition.
• Stay current. Maintain compliance, keep pace with evolving coverage trends, and apply working knowledge of General Liability and commercial property lines.

• Active Texas P&C License
• Minimum 5 years of commercial lines account management experience in an agency setting
• Generalist knowledge across commercial lines, with strength in commercial property coverage
• Demonstrated ability to lead renewals, manage carrier relationships, and service complex accounts
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through

• Applied EPIC experience
• Expertise in General Liability coverage
• Experience managing accounts in the construction industry
