JCW is partnering with a dynamic startup insurance carrier specializing in allied medical, hospitals, and social services. We are seeking a Social Services Underwriter to join their growing team. This opportunity will help shape underwriting processes, working closely with internal stakeholders, risk management, and legal teams to support innovative social services programs.

• Evaluate and underwrite social service, hospital, and allied medical programs, ensuring risk alignment with the company’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and operations teams to ensure policies, endorsements, and documentation reflect program objectives.
• Maintain and update the Treaty Provision Database and SharePoint systems to ensure contract accuracy and accessibility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in medical underwriting or social services-related risk management.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing startup environment.
