We are seeking a
Territory Underwriting Manager for FCCI’s Surplus Lines casualty business. In this role you will responsible for the profitable growth of our Excess & Surplus line of business including production, underwriting, sales and service.
The Territory Underwriting Manager will manage an assigned territory in Texas to ensure profitable growth as well as underwrite and service the most complex accounts and largest agency relationships. Additional responsibilities include mentoring teammates, delivering training programs and assisting in the development of underwriting guidelines and products. More responsibilities include collaborating with Admitted counterparts on cross-sell opportunities and joint marketing efforts.
This position will be based in Texas, preferably in the Dallas metro area or Austin and is field-based with travel throughout the territory.

The salary range for this position is $114,639-$176,545 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* Bachelor’s degree, preferred. NOTE - Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education
* Minimum of eight years of commercial underwriting with focus on casualty surplus lines
* Thorough understanding of key exposures and portfolio pricing techniques.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgement and decision making.
* Advanced ability to determine customer needs, provide solutions and price business appropriately.
* Valid driver’s license required
