A Linguistic QA Tester will proofread, edit, and, when needed, translate localized content to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and functional UI quality. The tester will identify bugs, report them through the internal tracking system, and verify fixes.

• Proofread and edit localized content for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and consistency, including spotting political and cultural inaccuracies.
• Translate content from English to your native language when required.
• Check user interfaces for functional and display issues.
• Execute test cases, identify localization bugs, and log them in the bug tracking system.
• Verify bug resolutions and re‑test corrected content.

• Location:
  
  Austin, TX (100% onsite, no remote work)
• W‑2 employment, eligible for benefits based on hours worked.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, set hours.
• Valid U.S. work visa required.
• Native‑level fluency in your language (grammar, vocabulary, punctuation).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in translation and testing web‑based systems on Mac OSX and iOS.
• Tech‑savvy background with web‑based application testing.
• Ability to prioritize linguistic issues and distinguish must‑fix from nice‑to‑have.
• Experience with test cases, test scripts, and bug‑tracking systems.
• Clear communication of reproduction steps and critical information.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Independent worker with strong team orientation.
• Comfortable working with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work non‑business hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive team ethic.

HEIL

• Austin: $28 per hour
• Cupertino: $35 per hour
