Linguistic QA Tester

As a Linguistic QA Tester, you will primarily be proofreading and editing content already localized to your native language, ensuring accuracy in grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, political correctness, inconsistencies, and extra spaces. You will also translate content from English to your native language and check user interfaces for functional issues.

• Review localized content for errors and inconsistencies.
• Translate content from English to your native language as needed.
• Test UIs for functional issues.
• Conduct test cases, identify localization bugs, and report them via an internal bug tracking system.
• Verify fixes after implementation.

  Austin, TX (100% onsite, no remote work)
• Contract:
  
  W‑2 (eligible for benefits based on hours worked)
• Work schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday, set hours
• Valid U.S. visa required.
• Native-level fluency in Hebrew (HEIL) and in English (written and spoken).
• Background in Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Writing, or Localization.
• Experience with translation and localization testing.
• Tech savvy with experience testing web‑based systems on Mac OSX and iOS.
• Ability to prioritize linguistic issues and differentiate must‑fix items from nice‑to‑have.
• Experience writing test cases and test scripts.
• Proficiency with bug‑tracking systems and clear articulation of reproduction steps.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work during non‑business hours, weekends, and national/federal holidays.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong team ethic.

• Compensation: $28/hr – Austin; $35/hr – Cupertino.
