Salary: $175,000 - $215,000 per year
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Land Use Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex land use and real estate projects and to contribute to a team that values your skills, innovative thinking, and passion for the law.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on matters related to land use, zoning, and environmental issues, including the acquisition, leasing, and sale of real property.
- Represent clients before governmental agencies and bodies, planning commissions, and courts on land use matters.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions and advise clients accordingly.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of a transaction, from the initial client meeting to the final closing.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various types of real estate agreements, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, and land use documents.
- Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, legal opinions, and briefs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and excellent service.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Land Use Attorney, with a focus on MUD, land use, and real estate law.
- Proven track record of representing clients in complex land use and real estate matters.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients, governmental entities, and other members of the legal team.
- Strong research skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle large amounts of complex information.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
