Associate Attorney

Small Austin law firm seeking an associate to join our team. Our practice is concentrated on representation of local governments over a wide variety of issues, including without limitation torts, civil rights, eminent domain, landfill siting and regulation, redistricting, voting rights, election disputes, employment claims, road disputes and subdivision regulation litigation. Litigation and administrative hearings are common responsibilities along with consultation and providing continuing education to elected officials on a wide variety of topics.

Candidates should expect responsibility to be supervised by senior attorneys but will have independent responsibility for case from pre-litigation inception through appellate disposition. Travel is common, requiring organized, self-sufficient and disciplined individual with experience with time and expense billing. Requires excellent personal conduct, engaging with clients, staff and opposing counsel professionally and with good humor.
