Location:

This is an on-site role in Austin, Texas (hands-on, in-office collaboration with a tight-knit team and fast-moving district work).

Note:

Must have U.S. work authorization and relevant MUD / special districts or local government experience (steady work history strongly preferred).

Job Description
  • Prepare board meeting materials, agendas, and supporting packets for multiple districts
  • Draft, proof, and finalize district documents, resolutions, and related governance materials
  • Coordinate and post meeting notices and manage public meeting logistics and deadlines
  • Maintain district records, minute books, and compliance files with strong attention to detail
  • Track regulatory deadlines, filings, and bond-related or development documentation
  • Support elections, annexations, and district formation matters as needed
  • Communicate professionally with engineers, financial advisors, consultants, and client boards
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and substantive paralegal support to the public law team
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related paralegal experience (more is welcome)
  • Experience with MUDs, special districts, local government entities, or public law workflows strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Texas Open Meetings Act style posting / notice processes (or closely related public meeting compliance)
  • Strong organization, deadline management, and follow-through across multiple concurrent matters
  • Confident drafting/proofing skills and comfort with technical/legal documentation
  • Professional communication skills (this role interacts with boards and external stakeholders)
