Litigation Paralegal

Our client, a boutique law firm specializing in Commercial Litigation and IP Litigation, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its team on a temp to perm basis. This is a hybrid position in Austin, TX (3 days on-site, 2 days remote). Pay rate is $30-$35/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Draft or assist in drafting of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, privilege logs, deposition summaries, position statements and responses to administrative charges
• Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, nondisclosure agreements, employee handbooks and policies
• Cite and fact checking, including pulling cases and documentation, Westlaw and PACER research and other research as needed
• Determine and calendar deadlines
• State and federal e-filing and service

Requirements:

• 5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience as a litigation paralegal
• Paralegal certificate strongly preferred
• Knowledge of federal and Texas state court e-filing processes and procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Westlaw, PACER and eDiscovery platforms
• Vaccinated against COVID-19
• Willingness to occasionally work overtime to meet deadlines after hours
