Senior Attorney

Job Description

A well established law firm is seeking a senior level attorney with deep experience in environmental or energy related litigation to join its Texas practice. This role is well suited for an attorney who has handled complex matters independently and is comfortable managing sophisticated cases.

Position Overview The attorney will focus on high level environmental and or energy litigation matters involving regulatory agencies private parties and commercial stakeholders. This practice includes matters related to oil and gas energy infrastructure environmental compliance enforcement actions and related commercial disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex environmental and energy litigation matters from pre suit strategy through resolution

• Handle regulatory enforcement actions administrative proceedings and related trial court litigation

• Draft and argue dispositive motions manage discovery and take and defend depositions

• Advise clients on risk compliance exposure and litigation strategy

• Work directly with business leaders regulators and technical experts

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of litigation experience with a strong focus on environmental or energy matters

• Substantial experience with state and federal regulatory frameworks

• Strong writing analytical and client facing skills

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

• Experience practicing in Texas courts required
