Job Details

Prestigious full-service Texas law firm seeking an appellate attorney with Judicial Clerkship experience for our Austin office. Salary: $170,000 – $210,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on complex appellate issues.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize persuasive appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Present oral arguments before appellate courts.
  • Advise trial attorneys on legal strategy, including identification and preservation of issues for appeal.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure best representation for clients.
  • Keep informed of developments in the law and disseminate information to colleagues.
  • Maintain highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
    • Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing in the State Bar of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years appellate practice experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in legal research and writing, with strong ability to analyze and apply legal principles.
  • Experience presenting oral arguments before appellate courts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex legal arguments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and strong commitment to client service.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
