General Description
Are you an experienced Paralegal with experience in investments, including private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital? The TTSTC Legal Department is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal. This is a unique opportunity to join a collegial, supportive legal team working in a dynamic environment at the intersection of law, finance, and public service. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with limited partnership agreements, side letters, and subscription documents. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of TTSTC’s investment process. In this role, you will act as a key liaison with internal and external teams, reviewing, analyzing, and preparing private investment documents, and supporting the legal team in contract negotiations, among other tasks.
Responsibilities- Document and file management: manage an electronic document/file system for legal and related documents, ensuring consistent naming conventions and classification; collect, record, and maintain files and other documents; manage revision and approval of internal policies and operational documents; draft and respond to correspondence, open records requests, and opinion requests involving legal interpretations and decisions; respond to audit requests; prepare and maintain compliance calendars for ongoing and anticipated projects.
- Legal research and analysis: research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, case law, administrative records, opinions, articles, treaties, and rules and regulations; prepare synopses, abstracts, or summaries of complex legal issues; prepare, review, and edit legal documents.
- Investment compliance and document drafting: assist with implementing and documenting investment compliance activities; assist attorneys with reviewing and analyzing limited partnership agreements and other investment documents; assist with drafting subscription documents and side letters; prepare trade tickets.
- Contract administration: draft, review, and manage contracts; interact with vendors; review invoices for contract adherence; prepare quarterly reports to the Contract Administration Office; assist with cost analyses and bill summaries for proposed legislation and track relevant legislation.
- Additional related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree.
- Five (5) to six (6) years of legal assistance/paralegal work experience.
- Successful completion of a Paralegal certificate or relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or related coursework in law or a related field.
- Experience organizing and managing a diverse range of assignments.

Work HoursStandard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed. A flexible or hybrid schedule may be possible depending on business needs.
