Job Details
Dallas based Litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our Austin, TX legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who specializes in insurance defense litigation to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload from inception to conclusion, representing clients in legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions.
The Litigation Attorney will also be expected to maintain client relationships and must have the ability to handle a high volume of complex tasks while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.Develop and devise case strategies that cater to individual client needs.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.Conduct legal research and analysis of case law, regulations, and statutes related to the case.Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations, keeping them informed about the progress of their case and any changes that may occur.Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.Maintain high standards of professional conduct while fostering positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in insurance defense litigation.Proven track record of successfully litigating cases from inception to conclusion.Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in legal documents.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.High degree of professional ethics and integrity.Interested in hearing more?
