Bilingual Buyer

AMD is searching for a Buyer/Purchasing Specialist with strong direct purchasing experience, preferably within the electronics industry. The role involves managing purchase orders, tracking procurement activities, handling pricing updates, and supporting sourcing operations using SAP tools. This person must speak fluent Mandarin.

Requires experience buying small component parts, hard drives and cables. Needs familiarity with the standard distribution suppliers. MRP experience preferred. Knowledge of a PO system (no specific one required). Ensures timely order placement of product or service requirements from pre-selected sources of supply. Issues releases against pre-established blanket purchase orders. Provides follow-up information on delivery schedule status. Prepares and maintains reports and files.

Provides general assistance to Buyers and Section Managers in routine purchasing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum of 0-2 years of direct purchasing experience;
Requires knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures;
Word processing and spreadsheet skills highly desirable;
Electronic component experience preferred.
