We are seeking a Director of Networking Hardware Sourcing to lead strategy and execution for critical infrastructure components supporting Oracle Cloud (OCI) and on-premises platforms. This leader will own the end‑to‑end sourcing strategy across key networking hardware categories and manage a team responsible for supplier relationships, cost optimization, and supply continuity at global scale. The role partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Finance to ensure scalable, cost‑effective, and resilient supply chain solutions that support rapid cloud growth and new product introduction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals responsible for networking hardware categories (e.g., switches, optics, and related components).
  • Define and execute global commodity strategies to optimize cost, performance, and supply continuity across the product lifecycle—from new product introduction (NPI) through end‑of‑life.
  • Serve as the primary executive interface for key suppliers, driving strategic partnerships, performance management, and long‑term capacity planning.
  • Partner with Engineering to support product development, including supplier selection, RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), and design‑for‑supply‑chain initiatives.
  • Negotiate complex supply agreements, pricing structures, and contractual terms aligned with Oracle standards.
  • Drive supply chain resiliency through risk mitigation strategies, alternate sourcing, and supplier diversification.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational scalability.
  • Support material escalations and ensure continuity of supply in dynamic, high‑growth environments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or supplier management, with a focus on hardware or infrastructure technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, including managing managers or senior individual contributors.
  • Proven experience owning commodity strategy for hardware components, including cost, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
  • Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including pricing, supply terms, and long‑term contracts.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with networking hardware technologies (e.g., switches, routers, optics, ASICs, connectivity components).
  • Experience working with ODM/JDM partners and hardware manufacturing ecosystems.
  • Background supporting cloud infrastructure, data center, or hyperscale environments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware product development cycles and design‑for‑supply‑chain principles.
  • Experience developing multi‑region/global sourcing strategies and managing supply risk.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent).
  • Track record of driving cost optimization and supply chain resiliency at scale.
