Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst will focus on capacity and supply planning, supporting private brand operations with a strong emphasis on data‑driven decision‑making. This role drives continuous improvement across the supply chain by streamlining processes, reducing waste, and identifying risks and opportunities within a complex network. The analyst will collaborate closely with sourcing managers and vendors to translate sales expectations into accurate inventory and procurement plans, ensuring products are available to meet demand while optimizing resources.
Responsibilities- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and reduce waste across the network.
- Problem‑solve complex supply chain challenges and design effective, scalable solutions that support network‑wide operations.
- Maintain and update internal documentation for training and reference, ensuring process and system information remains current and accurate.
- Support supply planning for private brands by developing and maintaining supply plans on a regular cadence for vendors.
- Analyze seasonal and non‑seasonal demand to translate sales expectations into inventory requirements and purchasing needs.
- Work closely with sourcing managers who collaborate with vendors to bring new products to market, providing analytical support and recommendations.
- Identify supply chain risks and perform detailed analyses to determine the viability and impact of new products and initiatives.
- Determine minimum order quantities and other key parameters using statistical analysis to support sound business decisions.
- Use SQL and Microsoft Excel to build, manage, and refine advanced analytical models and reports for supply chain planning and performance tracking.
- Leverage SAP or similar inventory management systems to compare inventory levels, open purchase orders, and standard supply chain metrics.
- Perform data entry and data validation tasks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of supply chain data used in planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to earn trust, dive deep into data, and uphold high standards in analysis and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Strong mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with high proficiency in creating and managing advanced models using Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and handling large data sets.
- Proficiency with SQL for pulling data, modifying queries, and generating analytical insights.
- Analyst work experience or an analytical focus in higher education.
- Conceptual understanding of systems and configuration management.
- Experience with inventory management, supply chain management, procurement, and inventory analysis.
- Ability to dive deep into data and processes to identify root causes and opportunities.
- Ability to earn trust through clear communication, reliability, and collaborative work.

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Experience supporting supply planning activities for consumer products or private brands.
- Experience working with sourcing or category managers to support vendor relationships and new product introductions.
- Experience comparing inventory levels, open purchase orders, and standard supply chain metrics to support planning decisions.
- Familiarity with supply chain risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Comfort working with seasonal products and translating sales forecasts into inventory and procurement plans.
- Strong written documentation skills for creating and maintaining internal training and reference materials.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when performing data entry and managing large data sets.
