Job Description
We are seeking a highly driven and cross‑functional Capacity Expansion and Cost Reduction Project Manager to lead strategic cost optimization and capacity expansion initiatives across products, operations, and supply chain. This role will be responsible for identifying, driving, and tracking capacity expansion and cost reduction opportunities while balancing quality, performance, customer commitments, and execution timelines.
- Lead cross‑functional capacity expansion and cost reduction initiatives across product design, manufacturing, test, packaging, sourcing, and operations
- Drive structured cost reduction programs from opportunity identification through implementation and savings realization
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Product Marketing
- Develop and maintain cost reduction roadmaps, priorities, schedules, and executive reporting dashboards
- BOM cost reduction
- Alternate sources for BOM and manufacturing flows
- Packaging optimization
- Yield improvement
- Test cost reduction
- Supply chain optimization
- Alternate sourcing and dual sourcing
- Process simplification and operational efficiencies
- Drive the decision toward issuing PCNs or releasing new part numbers
- Drive the cross‑functional team toward PCN planning/execution
- Participate in EOL activity and notifications
- Track and report savings against targets, including risks and mitigation plans
- Drive accountability and execution across stakeholders and suppliers
- Support customer and supplier engagements related to cost optimization initiatives
- Escalate critical issues impacting cost, schedule, or execution
- Facilitate executive reviews and ensure alignment on priorities and tradeoffs
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in program/project management, operations, engineering, or product management
- Product‑engineering experience is a plus
- Experience driving cost reduction initiatives in semiconductor, electronics, or high‑tech industries preferred
Strong understanding of:
- Product development processes
- Manufacturing operations
- Supply chain and procurement
- Cost structures and business tradeoffs
- Proven ability to lead complex cross‑functional programs to completion
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
- Executive‑level presentation and reporting skills preferred
