Americas Logistics - Distribution Center (DC) Data Operations Analyst

DescriptionThis position requires a deep understanding of Apple’s DC network operations and the intersection with inbound and outbound transportation. The candidate must be able to work cross-functionally to identify opportunities that improve speed and customer satisfaction while minimizing costs. This requires expertise in industry best practices and data analytics to quantify the opportunities and implement solutions. You will need to manage a network that must scale to peak volumes that may or may not be planned and work with 3PLs to build capabilities to support this.
Responsibilities- Design and validate DC layouts to ensure KPIs for labor, throughput and lead times are met.
- Develop, own, and communicate the DC IE KPIs and project roadmap at multiple 3PLs to our senior leadership team.
- Create, modify, and develop new views and tools to drive continuous improvement with data.
- Design and validate warehouse automation using data driven approaches.
- Work with third party logistics (3PL) partners and vendors to drive data driven process and design optimizations.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities across the AMR DC network and implement solutions that realize them.
- Continuously focus on building new capabilities within the AMR DC network that improve the customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive supply chain excellence.
- Strong data analytics with ability to extract key insights from large data sets (e.g. through Tableau and/or AI).
- Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, BS/BA degree required
- Experience working with 3PLs or leadership roles within warehouses.
- Experience working with warehouse/manufacturing simulation models to design/improve warehouse operations.
- Experience with industry benchmark studies (e.g. MOST) and Lean-Six Sigma
- Proven track record of continuous improvement through the application of Lean principles.
- Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships in a dynamic environment that manages large scale events, such as Apple’s New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- MS/MBA preferred
